THE DETOX IS OVER!

Tuesday, June 28th, 2011

That’s me a few days ago hanging out in Brooklyn Heights with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background. I just made that my Facebook profile picture the other day. As you can see, my skin is glowing & I owe it all to the “21 Pounds In 21 Days Detox”

I just stepped on the scale to see how much weight I’ve lost in the last 3 weeks & the total is 18 pounds! I’d call that a success. To be honest with you, I know for sure that the only reason I didn’t lose 21 pounds or more is because I finished the detox 4 days early. I was at work early one morning & my stomach started screaming with hunger. It was at that moment that I decided to actually eat something. That morning of hunger aside, I actually was really pleased with the detox. I believe that it did what it was suppose to do. I feel healthier after doing the detox. I have more energy after doing the detox. My skin is clearer after doing the detox. I even shed some pounds from doing the detox. I highly recommend it if your goal is to get rid of the toxins in your body, clean your system out & lose weight in the process. You’ll feel & operate much better afterwards.

If you’re going to do the detox, I would suggest you really mentally prepare yourself because it’s a commitment. It requires a lot of effort, dedication, preparation & discipline. But it’s worth it for your good health. 21 days of doing it was daunting for me, but you can be successful at it if you are more disciplined than I am. But I love the results from the detox so much that I plan to incorporate the supplements & products from it into my daily life…even when I’m not detoxing. The products they offer really promote good health. I even plan on doing the detox for a week at the beginning of every season. I think it’ll be a good way to keep my body working in good condition by eliminating toxins regularly throughout the year. As I write this to you, I’m on Day 12 of the “21 Pounds In 21 Days” Martha’s Vineyard Detox. This detox really works. I’d say I started feeling better from the detox around the 3rd day. And around the 5th day, I started seeing a positive difference in my skin & body. As a person who loves to each whatever I want whenever I want, the detox is hard for me to stick to at times. But I really want to better my health, so I’m committed to it. I can’t wait to see the final results after the 21st day!

Bikini By The 4th of July With Shelley Wade: Detox Day 2

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

I was stopped at a red light late last night when all of a sudden, a taxi SLAMMED into the back of my car! I spent two hours standing outside dealing with that drama…taking pictures of the accident scene, talking to the idiot driver, getting all of his info, calling 911 & filing a police report. Needless to say, I’m pretty irritated that much of my day will be spent getting my car towed to the dealership, getting a rental car & calling the insurance company. So anyway, wanted to blog to you before I got caught up in all that.

I’m on Day 2 of the detox/cleanse that I told you about yesterday. Here’s what my day of eating looked like yesterday…

6 breakfast

Had a bowl of high fiber cereal with raisins & sweetened with organic cane sugar, which is healthier for you than regular white sugar.

6 snack

For a snack, I had half a grapefruit.

6 lunch

Lunch was really yummy. I browned some ground turkey meat, sauteed some onions, red peppers & mushrooms, then ate it all in lettuce wraps.

6 dinner

Dinner was also yummy. I made a 3-egg omelette filled with the leftover ground turkey, pepper/onion/mushroom mixture and reduced fat shredded cheese.

Of course, I drank lots of water all day. Will I get into a Bikini By The 4th (Of July)? That’s my goal. Be sure to check back with me tomorrow to follow my weight loss journey. Lots of love…
