THE TRUTH ABOUT MEN: IAN K. SMITH, M.D.

Thursday, April 19th, 2012

That’s me with my good friend Dr. Ian Smith on a lovely day in New York City. Many of us know Ian as a medical & weight loss expert from VH1′s “Celebrity Fit Club” & countless other TV shows we’ve seen him on. But in his new book, Ian proves that he’s also a relationship expert. It’s called “The Truth About Men: The Secret Side of the Opposite Sex”

That’s my copy of Ian’s book. It’s on my hall tree in my apartment & I can’t wait to read it! But Ian’s book isn’t just for single ladies like me, but also for anyone looking to improve their relationship. “The Truth About Men” promises to decode even the trickiest man for the women who have to deal with him. Some of the topics in the book include: Mindreading is an Overrated Art, The Top 5 Mood Killers, Be a Freak but not a Freak of the Week, Avoid the Boyfriend 15 & 5 Ultimatums Never to Make. Like I said, can’t wait to read it! The book is out now, so be sure to pick up your copy anywhere books are sold. CLICK HERE FOR IAN’S WEBSITE.

Now back to that lovely day in New York City I was mentioning earlier…

I accompanied Ian to his appearance on Anderson Cooper’s talk show that day. I’m an Anderson Cooper fan, I tune in to him everyday at 4pm here in NYC…so I was super excited to visit the show again. I took lots of pictures during our visit…

That’s one of the Anderson Show Producers giving Ian a rundown of his appearance on the show.

Ian visited the dressing room next door to say hello to the Tallest Man In America, who was also a guest on Anderson that day.

After Ian changed into his show attire, we all headed backstage for the show taping. That’s Ian talking to his Assistant Liza & the woman in the background is the Stage Director for the Anderson Show. Just beyond her where you see the glowing light, that’s actually the stage entrance.

Before Ian joined Anderson onstage, he gets a touchup from the show’s Makeup Artist.

At one point backstage, I saw a woman carrying a pair of shoes. Being the curious person that I am, I asked her why she was carrying the shoes. Turns out, she’s Anderson’s Stylist LaToya Boothe & she was bringing Anderson a change of shoes. I’ve always thought that Anderson’s style was understated & chic, so it was good to meet the Stylist behind his style.

We were able to watch the show in progress via the monitor backstage.

Ian gave some great medical advice on Anderson’s show. Be sure to look out for that episode airing soon. CLICK HERE FOR ANDERSON’S SHOW.
